Riding from Campbellcroft – Friday, June 25

Jennifer and Andy are hosting Friday’s ride.

They suggest leaving from their home Friday @ 5 pm and we shall ride The Oak Hills 50 k or the shorter route of 37 k.

Bring your costumes for a swim après ride …..picnic in the garden thereafter.

For those who prefer not to cycle a walk is always a possibility either from the house or the Ganaraska Forest.

Sadly Piper is suffering from a torn ACL/CCL so he will not be able to roam free to grab socks, shoes or apple fritters this year!!!

There are mossies so bug spray might be helpful.

Will be there! Looking forward to a ride and a refreshing swim afterwards.

  2. bradyperkin says:

Not Clarington we live in Northumberland, Hope township Ruth……where did that come from?? I guess the actual ride is a mix of both ……..

  3. Barbara Spencer says:

You can count John and Barb in on your head count. Looking forward to it.

  4. Sue says:

  7. Marshall says:

Planning to ride if the good weather hangs in……

  8. Irene says:

Depending upon the weather, Richard and I are thinking of cycling to Jennifer and Andy’s for a chat with folks before the ride starts then home again.

  9. bradyperkin says:

Okay folks…..what should we do? Calling for rain 40 %…..do we risk it or call it? Again Sun. 10 am might be the better option. Happy to hear from others???

  10. Barbara Spencer says:

I’m (we’re?) good for Sunday if that’s what everyone decides.

  11. bradyperkin says:

Andy says it will blow over so we shall ride…..if it does rain later on we have two covered areas for our picnic! He must be desperate to cycle lol!

  12. Irene says:

Not too enthused about the weather forecast, so decided to go for a walk instead – sad as we were looking forward to a pre-ride chat! 😊

  13. Sue Pott says:

Well, I hope Andy is right because the radar looks pretty wet from 4 pm on.

  14. Sue Pott says:

Well, I hope Andy is right because the radar looks pretty wet from 4 pm on. I could do Sunday if you are changing.

Sue I’m riding to Jennifer and Andy’s now and it’s just spitting. Not a big deal at all! You’ve rode in Scotland and a nice day would be this! Lol!

  15. bradyperkin says:

Okay I overriding Andy…..rain date is Sun.10 am as it is spitting as I type here. See you Sunday all who can make it.

  16. Marshall says:

Darn, dressed, bike on car ready to leave. Not raining in Port Hope but something made me check the website before pulling out. Oh well back to my book. See you Sunday.

  17. Barbara Spencer says:

And the cleverest GFW’er is Jen Poole who rode to the ride so at least got a ride in. Hope you didn’t get too wet Jen! Hmmmm picnic sandwiches for dinner.

I enjoyed a beautiful ride up to a Jennifer and Andy’s. It was spitting but felt great after such a humid day. I rescued a pig that was in the middle of the road on County Road 10 and saw four Indigo Buntings on Oak Hills Road! Even managed a lovely swim upon my arrival. Thanks Jennifer and Andy for the hospitality and for the visit! Maybe see you all Sunday 😊

  18. BrianH says:

Just back from my latest trip. Sunday sounds like a plan 😀🚲😀

  19. bradyperkin says:

Right……Sunday weather is looking a bit more promising & quite warm, humid so bring swimming apparel if you wish a cool off swim after our ride. We have no plans so everyone is welcome to stay as long as they wish to relax, eat, socialize and swim etc. See ya’ all at a few mins. before
10 am…….unless it is raining of course!!

  20. Paul Buttimor says:
