Riding from Millbrook – Tuesday, June 22

Marshall will be leading this Tuesday’s ride. His invitation is below.

This Tuesday’s ride will start at Millbrook (Millbrook Arena parking lot behind the Pastry Peddler) at 10:00. Please join me for a beautiful 55K circle from Millbrook over to Pontypool and back. The ride can be easily shortened to 45K (refer to map) for those who might want a little less distance. Note there will be a bit of climbing as there is no way but up to get out of Millbrook, but the descent at the end back into Millbrook will more than make it all worthwhile.

Our after ride picnic will be held in the beautiful park area by the creek and dam. Be sure to bring your comfy chair, a yummy lunch and your favorite beverage.

The Pastry Peddler café is open for take-out with their regular menu amd lots of great desserts available. Check them out online, you may want to take advantage of it for your lunch.

Hit the link to either a paper version or link to electronic map of the route:

Keep in mind that nasty little COVID bug is still kicking around out there so we must all continue following the standard social distancing rules.

A NOTE: At this point the weather isn’t looking all that great for Tuesday so a Wednesday rain date is planned for those who could make it.

Hoping to see you all in Millbrook.

Lilianne, I’m planning to pick what I want for lunch before I go and phone in my order about 3/4 of the way on our ride. Ask them to have it ready for when I arrive back. Glennis and I did that a couple of Fridays ago. Ordered from home and asked them to have it ready for 5:00. It was ready by the time we drove up and we had a lovely evening picnic by the creek. You are allowed in the cafe to pick up your order so you can pick out a dessert at that time. You pay at pick-up. Lets hope the weather hangs in for tomorrow.

Ride is on as planned. Might be a little cool for this time of year but I doubt we’ll see rain (?). See you all in Millbrook at 10:00.
