Sharon is our host for tomorrow’s ride from her home (address in our directory and also on the calendar post). She invites you to join her on a beautiful fall ride that will cover many of the club’s favourite roads ending with a “fly down” Shelter Valley Road to our club picnic social in her back yard. A warning though, to enjoy that “fly down” may involve a few climbs to get there. Maps (paper and GPS) below. The route has been modified slightly to start from Sharon home.

Sue will be hosting Tuesday’s ride. Her invitation is below.

We will meet at the Kirkfield Liftlock, just north of the village of Kirkfield on County Rd. 6 to start at 10. I have a beautiful flat route planned along parts of the Trent Canal over to Gamebridge, across to Lakeshore Drive on Lake Simcoe to picturesque Lagoon City and back.

Afterwards we will head back to the cottage for our lunch, swim, kayaking or canoeing. I will talk to you about the cottage address at the ride. Hope you can make it.

Andy and Jennifer are inviting the GFW to their country estate this Friday.

Andy & Jennifer will lead the Oak Hill Route (in reverse) from our home, 5 pm Friday Sept. 24/21 if it is favourable weather! Please remember, lights are a necessity now for safety.

Picnic in the garden apres ride. There will be a large bonfire afterwards so dress in old clothes (in case there are sparks flying). Those that do not wish to ride can join us about 8 pm for a chat and a beverage of their choosing!

We shall decide by Fri. 3 pm if the ride is a go….or not.

Richard and Irene will be leading this Tuesday’s ride and they invite you to join them in Millbrook (Millbrook Arena parking lot behind the Pastry Peddler) at 10:00 for a beautiful 56K (easily shortened to 46K or 36K) ride through the Bethany Hills.

After ride picnic will be held in the beautiful park area by the creek.

The Pastry Peddler café is open with their regular menu and lots of great desserts available. Check them out online. Order ahead of time and have it ready for pick up when you finish your ride.

Barb and John will lead the ride at 5:00 p.m., starting and ending at Donegan Park, D’arcy Street, Cobourg.

We’ll do the Twice in Grafton route.

Because of the different start/end point we will alter the route to skip the Massey Road loop but proceed straight east on Co. Rd. 2 to Station Rd.and then pick up the rest of the route. Several options for shorter rides.

Harold will be hosting this Tuesday’s ride from his home in Castleton. If you “Forget” his home address check it out in the Member’s Directory in the Club Website.

We will be riding Harold’s classic “Castleton / Warkwork Circle” (55K, fairly flat, easily shortened ride). Hardcopy maps will be provided at the start. Refer to “Map with GPS” link for a look at the route.

We will leave from The Commons Park which is located at the NW corner of Sullivan Street and Little Hope Street (part way between me and Richard and Irene).

The route will be Osaca Odyssey backwards…. leaving west on Lakeshore road.

Hopefully no police will be required to attend. Parking, no facilities.

Andy and I plan to leave from our house at 10 am Sept.7 and ride The Oak Hill route via Reid Rd. To Newtonville and back via hi 2/ Elliot Rd. To Haute Goat (btw it is open for lunch now so we could do a ride from there sometime soon) and then To Osaca Rd. (CR 65). Various lengths are optional as per usual.

People can bring their picnic, beverage & swimsuits (unheated pool). We look forward to another great ride weather permitting. Please R.S.V.P intentions to ride.
