Riding from Port Hope – Friday, September 10

Katherine is hosting this Friday’s ride. Her invitation is below.

We will leave from The Commons Park which is located at the NW corner of Sullivan Street and Little Hope Street (part way between me and Richard and Irene).

The route will be Osaca Odyssey backwards…. leaving west on Lakeshore road.

Hopefully no police will be required to attend. Parking, no facilities.

We’re out of town Friday, should be back by 5:30 ish so anyone needing the use of a bathroom feel free to drop by. Richard says be careful of the 2 80 ft Black Walnut trees at the east end of the lawn as they are at war with each other and flinging nuts. 😉🙃

We plan to ride and suggest that everyone have lights on their bikes. Getting dark early these days.

Our trip to Kingston has been cancelled owing to grandchildren coming down with hopefully colds. Therefore Richard and I are in for a short ride. And since no mention of picnics we figure they’ve been cancelled owing to early sunsets??

Thank you Jennifer. Richard says there’s enough space away from the Black Walnuts to park and if folks wish to picnic as well, though we’re a bit disorganized at the moment….. still waiting for painters to finish the job.

Just want to add that what was once Basil’s restaurant is now Sugoi Sushi and can preorder.
Plus the Salmon Run has begun so if folks end up cycling through downtown, might want to check out the river 😉

A belated thank to our Katherine for this beautiful backwards perspective ride. Hadn’t done it this way and was very enjoyable! As evenings are becoming cooler and darker we maybe can invite people to consider a Sat. Or Sun. ride and route as long as we are given some notice in the past this has been very workable too.
