Friday’s ride will start at 5:00 and finish at the Grafton arena, located on the north side of C.R. 2 in the village of Grafton. The route will be Grafton East (31, 36 and 51 km). There is ample parking and grassy acreage for a typical Freewheeler picnic.

I shall be there!

It looks as though a cold front will be moving through our region this afternoon, and this could spawn showers. I still plan to ride if it is dry, but will make a final decision at about 3 PM.

Well, I just don’t know about tonight. There does not appear to be much interest in riding and there would appear to be a few thunderstorms in the forecast. I am prepared to risk the conditions if others would like to ride. However, if there is no enthusiasm for riding by 4 PM I will stay home 😀🚴♂️😀

Brian, we are prepared to ride and it looks like the chance of rain isn’t great or there is a window at our ride time. We’ll be there if you want to ride with just a few others. Sometimes people just don’t comment but come. Comment if you are cancelling and we’ll watch.

I admire your enthusiasm, Barb, but I don’t think it is worth the risk. Although there aren’t all that many thunderstorms around, those that are look pretty serious. Right now there is one located just north of Rice Lake and Environment Canada have issued a rainfall warning for the region between Rice Lake and Peterborough with 50+ cm of rain expected! I think the air is so moist that these downpours can appear with little warning. I think it would be prudent to call this one off and hope for better times on Tuesday. I don’t think this decision will upset to many Club members.

Okay Brian. You are a hardy soul and I’ve seen you ride (Halloween!) when nobody else would. Darn! We may ride from here….or not…..
