Castleton Ride Update for Tuesday, October 2

Just got off the phone with Harold re: tomorrow’s ride. Weather forecast is looking not so great but he has a welcome home, a fridge full of burgers and a flexible spirit! Wednesday is challenging for a rain date, as he has a commitment in the morning. So . . . . how about rain or shine?

Will you please comment if you will make it to Harold’s tomorrow (Tuesday), rain or shine? As we know, the weather gods can be fickle – though threatening rain, they can be kind to us for a brief window to get some clicks in (especially when Brian H. is around). Worse case scenario, we’ll hunker down and enjoy each other’s company and a nice lunch.

And if you do plan to come, remember to bring a food bank contribution!

Our food bank contribution is prepped and ready to go. Unless there is a clear blue sky I doubt that we’ll be cycling ….. maybe out for a walk with a brolly! However we’ll be up to deliver the food and we’re in for lunch 🙂 … probably be there by 11ish.

Wish I could go and watch you, perhaps rain jackets flying like Superhero capes around Harold’s field before you all gather for a companionable lunch. John coming (so far!) with a dessert.

I won’t be able to ride or lunch tomorrow regardless the weather. However, I will be there after lunch (1ish) to pick up any food contributions for the food bank.

We likely will bail out as I need to do some running around if it is raining…..will bring food bank items fri. Is PH food bank benefitting or just Cobourg?

I don’t know about the food bank in Port Hope. I will not be at the ride on Friday so you would be on your own as far as getting it to somewhere. Any food I pick up today from Harold’s place will be taken to the food bank tomorrow morning.

I’ll be by with a food bank contribution, a visit, some lunch and perhaps a ride if by chance there is a dry spell.

The clouds don’t look promising this morning so I wouldn’t be heading out.

Thanks for sending the rain down this way. Looks like we are in for an all-day soaker down here in the Easrern Townships. Can’t complain as this is the first really bad day I have had in almost four weeks. Needless to say, I won’t be there today 😂
