This weekend was a busy one for the Freewheelers, beginning with a small group assembling for Thanksgiving at Katherine’s where the stuffed turkey had competition from Barb’s rice crispy square (round?) turkey. Apparently the riding was glorious and those with an appetite for food and laughter came away well fed!
The next day, the first annual Ganaraska Freewheelers cycle-cross at Harold’s attracted 10 hearty riders who braved the 1.1 kilometre circuit, many times over. How many times, you ask? You’ll need to check the official register.
Moving on to this coming weekend, you’re all invited to Liz & Bob’s for Saturday’s ride. Here’s the scoop:
Please join Bob and Liz for a ride from their home just west of Blackstock (see address on calendar and in Member Directory). The ride starts at 10:00. There will be a short ride (about 35 kilometers) and a longer ride (49 kilometers). Maps/directions will be provided.Liz welcomes everyone to stay for a lunch of her homemade chicken/squash soup and apple crisp. Come to the west side and enjoy.
Please use the comments to let your hosts know if you plan to join the ride and apres-feast. Colours should be splendid.

Looks like the rain stops at 8:40 with brief sun spots between 11 and 1. Perfect timing hopefully. I’m still riding, Liz.

Hi Folks, at present we have a light drizzle, warm and no wind with weather forecast saying it’ll end soon. Here’s hoping. The ride is on.
