Friday’s ride begins at 5:30 from the Cobourg Community Centre. The route will be the Shelter Valley Road ride, a 52-kilometre ride that can be easily shortened.
Note that this is a different route from the one suggested earlier in the week. We are changing it based on Brian’s comment about length and Payn Road portion that is problematic.
Please print your own maps and use the comments to let other riders know you will be joining the ride. Note that the starting location is the Cobourg Community Centre and NOT the marina as indicated on the map.

May I suggest that we change the route for Friday’s ride from “It’s All Downhill From Here” to (the next one on our list) “Shelter Valley Road”. When Ruth and I met back in March to figure out routes for (un-hosted) Friday evening rides, we thought “Its All Downhill From Here” would be an early-season ride. Hence it is a shorter (38 km) route, and that includes coming down Payn Road which, as we all know, is in terrible shape this year! The “Shelter Valley Road” route is 52 km in length and can easily be shortened.

As only retirees are riding would anyone like to start the rid at 3pm?

I’m not a retiree yet and am hoping to ride but won’t be able to get there that early – 4:30 would be the earliest.

I posted that as there were only 2 comments at that point who could possibly ride earlier. I was not trying to leave any working people out.
