2021 GFW Cycling Season to Begin Anew

Dust off your bicycles, friends. The GFW cycling season officially restarts on Friday, June 11, as Ontario enters Step 1 of the reopening plan.

Brian H. will host our first Friday ride commencing at 5:00 from Port Hope’s Baluch Road park. Maximum ride distance will be @ 50 km, with plenty of opportunity to shorten or lengthen as desired. A socially distanced picnic will follow. Let us know if you’ll be joining us by commenting on the detailed post that will follow this one.

Sue will host our first Tuesday ride commencing at 10:00 a.m. Details to be revealed soon!

Please contact your Ride Coordinators to lock in the date(s) you want to host.

  • Friday rides: Brian until end July, then Katherine
  • Tuesday rides: Sue until end July, then Marshall

Note that the password to the site has not changed from last year. You will receive an email with the new password after Friday.

All precautions mentioned in our earlier season opener will apply, especially the limit of 10 to outdoor gatherings. Please review this post prior to your first ride with us.

Note especially that if more than 10 show up for the ride, we’ll divide up both the riding group and picnic groups accordingly.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
