Cycling from Cobourg, Tuesday, July 2

School’s out for Summer! Jen and TJ are your hosts for our first July ride of the season Starting at 10 am on Tuesday. Their invitation is below.

On Tuesday, we will lunch at Julie’s Place in Cobourg on the corner of University and William. It is the old Let’s Eat. We will park kiddie corner at the old Home Hardware building centre, so we don’t clog up the parking lot at the restaurant, as it is very limited space. Our reservation is at 12:30, but they are aware that we will be trickling in as we finish our ride.

The route will be the Rice Lake Ramble, but instead of starting in Precious Corners, we will go up Ontario Street from the Home Hardware and stick together until at least Cornish Hollow.  There is not a short route (main route is 51km), but it can be shortened easily by not going as far north as Harwood.

Please indicate on the website if you plan to dine so that we may respectfully tell the restaurant how many of us we are.

Thanks and hope to see many of you out!!

Cycling from Port Hope Town Hall – Friday, June 28

For those of you who will be around this long weekend, join us at 5:30 for our Friday evening ride from the Port Hope Town Hall. We’ll follow the Beautiful Bewdley route.

The forecast is looking good for Friday. Brian plans to ride as long as he has someone to ride with. So make sure you comment by 10:00 a.m. on Friday if you plan to join him.

Also, do take a look at Fridays in July and let Brian know if you’d like to host one of them!

Summer Solstice – is it safe to take our jackets and long pants off?

Barb & John will host this Friday’s ride – their invitation is below.

Join us for a Summer Solstice ride at the Spencer’s. That should guarantee a long day of sunshine and what better way to celebrate the longest day of the year than to ride and dine with friends?  We’ll do the East Danforth route.  If the route isn’t long enough (50 and 33 km) for some, there are likely ways to add a loop or two.

The usual drill. 5:30 start, lots of parking in the driveway, bring your own eating gear and beverages.

Cycling from Trenton – Tuesday, June 18

Tuesday’s ride host Sue invites you to join her for our ride from Trenton!

We are going back to the Trenton area this Tuesday. The ride is about 58 km, more or less as you wish. I’ll bring maps.

Please park at the Bleasdell Boulder Conservation Authority parking lot off Highway 33, a couple of kilometres north of the 401.

Lunch will be at the Riverbrake Cafe (11 Front St.), on their patio if the weather is warm enough.

Hope to see you all there as it is a beautiful ride.

Our Friday Potluck Hero – Katherine!

Thanks so much to Katherine who has graciously swooped in and offered to host this Friday’s ride. Her invitation is below. Please comment if you plan to ride.

We are going to ride the Perrytown Pedlar route this Friday.  There are several options to lengthen or shorten the route.  I am looking forward to seeing all on Friday night at my place. Non riders are welcome to hang out with the cats while we ride!

Please print your own maps for the adventure.
