The Ganaraska Freewheelers website exists for personal and non-commercial use of members and allows access to the general public. The Club is committed to protecting the privacy of its Members and complies with federally regulated privacy law – Personal Informaton Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

- We do not collect personal information for Insurance purposes; as of 2013 membership year, members register for insurance directly with the Ontario Cycling Association from whom you can request its privacy policy.
- We do not collect information for third parties with whom our site links; however, once you are on their sites, they may collect information for purposes other than ours. We encourage you to read their privacy statements.
- We do not collect information from minors (under 18) without consent of their guardian or parent.
To whom do we distribute the information and for what purposes?
- Our member directory contains limited contact information to facilitate the communication of ride details. All members have access to this password-protected page on our site. We caution members to safeguard the password and this information.
- We may need to share information with legal authorities if required to comply with a judicial proceeding, a court order or a legal process.
To whom do we NOT distribute the information?
- We do not sell or provide member information to advertisers who wish to sell a product.
What can you do to ensure your privacy is protected and our Club is compliant with privacy legislation?
- You can decline to provide your contact information on our password-protected member directory.
- At any time, you can request a review of information on file with us to ensure accuracy.
- You can request that your information be removed from our database.
- You can let our Executive know if you believe our privacy policy has been violated or if you would like to suggest improvements.
