Riding from Garden Hill – Tuesday, November 2

And just when you thought it was time to put your cycling shoes and spandex to bed for the winter, hark, we have one more ride!

Join us at Pete and Ruth’s for the last official Tuesday ride of the season starting at 10:00 am. The route is one we’ve done before from our place. We’ll have printed maps available – distances range from 34 to 50 km.

Sunshine is called for, but bring your cold weather gear. If that doesn’t keep you warm, the hills in our area are sure to bring on the body heat. Picnic to follow – maybe a fire if conditions permit and hot chocolate for sure!

    Silly me – thinking the cycling season was over I made a (car) appointment fir 10:30 AM on Tuesday!

    Unfortunately medical doctors seem to be available only on a Tuesday !
    So……. I miss out on another. Still have to see your place next year.

    A tad too chilly for me – time to put my e bike away for the year. Richard hasn’t made up his mind yet whether to ride or not.

    We also have a medical appointment tomorrow, the only day the practitioner sees patients! Enjoy the ride – hope it is beautiful like today!

    Richard tells me that even if the Fibonacci numbers say otherwise, he will not be cycling tomorrow 😉

      OK, what do the Fibonacci numbers have to with Richard’s decision not to ride tomorrow? 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144 = “too cold to ride”?

      It was a Richard joke but he slurred a wee bit. He meant ‘Fib on a Bianchi, seriously?’ You have to imagine the question inflection at the end in true Richard style. : – )

    Sorry Marshall and Sue but we’ve decided to cancel tomorrow’s ride. Wind, rain and cold in the forecast, so weather wimps we shall be.

      And Sue just called to say she’ll ride despite the cold and that it’s calling for sun no rain until
      Later in the day. So how about we’ll make a final final call about whether to call tomorrow by 8am. Weather wimp and waffler!

    Sorry, its 11:00 PM and I’ve just tuned in to all this ride, no ride, OK maybe a ride stuff. I’ll check in at 8:00 tomorrow for the final call….

    Ok the ride is a go! Dress warmly. Looks like rain will hold off to after 2 if at all but it will be cold. Let’s do it! Apologies for the waffling.

    I’m going to have to look up Fibonacci numbers. Richard, is that a cryptic clue?
    Irene, don’t put your bike away yet. I hear it’s going back up to 10C next week.
    I’m game to ride this morning if anyone else wants to. I do like the ride from Pete and Ruth’s.

      Just finished my walk with the Monster – it’s actually a lovely morning, so if you’re hesitating, fear not!

        It was a beautiful morning for a walk. Piper and I did an hour and 15 mins. and just back……enjoy your ride. My excuse Andy took the bike rack off of the car and it needs a brake job (the car) which is scheduled for Sat. He should not be driving it at all.
