Cycling from Cobourg – Saturday, November 3

Say it isn’t so! Next Saturday is our last official weekend ride of the 2018 season (Klaus is hosting the last Tuesday ride on November 6!). Ride starts at 2:00 pm. If you’re only coming for the potluck, aim to be there after 5:00.

Jacquie and Brian are hosting Saturday’s ride/potluck that will hopefully engage a full house! You’ll find their address in the Calendar or Member Directory.

Here is their invitation.

We will act as hosts for the Saturday, 3rd November ride from our home in Cobourg, to be followed by a pot luck. Please bring grub, to be shared, and your drinks and utensils, as always. The route map is on the website as ‘Brian N’s Favourite‘ – we will have some copies, but please print your own, if possible. For really slow riders (Brian N., for instance) a ride along Lakeshore and return, is a possible alternative.

See you there.

Jacquie & Brian

  1. Looking forward to it and if the weather cooperates, I will ride. If the weather is being rude, I will come and chillax and socialize. I am crazy like that….😏

  3. Wouldn’t miss it for anything! Riding will depend on the weather but we will bring food, drink, dishes and be ready for good times.

  4. I love that picture (I wonder who took it?) depicting an eighty year age spread within the membership of the GFW! I informed Brian N. that I would lead the long ride, so I guess I need to be there 🙂

  5. Wouldn’t miss it, Brian and Jacquie! That chance of a shower they are showing will probably be in the early morning then sunshine for the rest of the day.

  6. The weather is pretty dismal and chilly, so no cycling for me today … no idea what Richard is doing, will ask him when he wakes up 😉

  7. Sorry to say that I’ve decided to back out from this ride and party. Woke up this morning with a really bad cold and feel that a cool damp bike ride (even with the sunshine that I’m seeing at the moment) is not the best medicine for it, plus don’t think my germs would add much to the potluck. Here’s hoping that I shake this by Tuesday and get to finish the biking season with “first half flat and last half not” ride in Brighton.

    1. Now wouldn’t you be disappointed if I didn’t forget something 😊 The red cooler is mine! Is there any beer left in it or did I drink it all?
